Hello everyone,
Two postdoc positions are available in my group, the [Flow Dynamics and Turbulence Laboratory (FDT Lab) at UT Dallas, both focused on laboratory measurements.
The first position involves measuring the concentration, size distribution, and deposition velocity of spume droplets from breaking waves to develop parameterizations for sea spray-induced fluxes at high wind conditions—an exciting opportunity for those interested in extreme wind-wave interactions.
The second position is focused on uncertainty quantification in fluid dynamic measurement techniques. This project will involve work on single-point measurements, PIV visualizations, and laser Doppler anemometry with applications in aerodynamics and air-sea interactions.
If you know of any interested candidates, please encourage them to reach out to me directly at kyousefi@utdallas.edu with their CV and a brief (1-page) cover letter discussing their research interests and experience in experimental techniques in air-sea interactions and/or uncertainty quantification.
Thanks so much for helping spread the word within your networks, and I appreciate any recommendations you may have!
