Dear colleagues,
We are (actually, I am) looking for postdoctoral fellows to explore the following research directions:
-
Development and application of AI-based model surrogates for waves, storm surges, or marine ecology.
-
Microwave or laser remote sensing technology for sea surface wind and waves (probably also using AI methods).
-
Proposals for other relevant research directions that align with your expertise are also welcome.
It would be nice if the candidate could have a background in related fields, e.g., marine sciences, computer science, remote sensing, and geography. The annual income will be 380,000 CNY (approximately 50,000 EUR) after tax. [BTW, the cost of living in China is significantly lower than in many developed countries while maintaining a comparable standard of living.]. You can work from home for at least half a year every year if you want.
The official advertisement is here (but it’s in Chinese):
This opportunity is open on a rolling basis. Interested candidates are invited to contact me (Haoyu Jiang, Haoyujiang@szu.edu.cn) directly, preferably with a CV. I also encourage you to share this information within your professional networks or recommend potential candidates.
Best regards,
Dr. Haoyu Jiang
