Dear Data Buoy Community,

This is a gentle reminder about the **Call for Abstracts** for the upcoming **Science and Technology (S&T) Workshop** to be held in Saint Gilles, La Réunion, on 10 November 2026.

The DBCP Executive Board has, upon thorough evaluation, considered **extending the abstract submission deadline by 30 September 2026** to accommodate more contributions from community members.

Details on the abstract submission process and requirements are available in the [Call for Abstracts](https://oceanexpert.org/document/38940 "https://oceanexpert.org/document/38940").

We would reiterate our invitation to members of the data buoy and broader ocean observing community to submit an abstract to the S&T Workshop and to participate in **the DBCP-42 session,** which will take place from 10 to 13 November 2026.

The S&T Workshop will commence on the first day of the Session. You may obtain further information about the DBCP-42 on the [event website](https://oceanexpert.org/event/4948 "https://oceanexpert.org/event/4948").

You are welcome to forward this invitation to others who may be interested.

We look forward to receiving your contributions and welcoming you to DBCP-42 in La Réunion.

Best regards,

Asteria

On behalf of the organizing committee of DBCP-42 and S&T Workshop.
